A different viewpoint:
Bertha Delgado chimed in. She is president of the East Town Lake
Citizens Neighborhood Association. She says, “We’ve lost a lot of
families. A lot of families are being pushed out, taxed out. A lot of
people can’t afford to live in these neighborhoods anymore.” Delgado
worries the neighborhoods are being taken over by “commercial
enterprises, private investors that are wanting to come in and remodel
our whole neighborhood and construct it into an entertainment district
to where we’re displacing people.”
All of those concerns have already been debunked. It’s simply propaganda used for a political agenda against STRs.
