Fall 2022 City Election Preferences

What are your thoughts on the candidates running for city council in the upcoming city election? Reply with your thoughts and questions. FANs will soon be voting their preferences in a poll of the membership.

In August, Friends of Austin Neighborhoods (FAN) published a single open-ended question in an online form and invited each of the city council candidates to answer it. The candidates’ responses are on FAN’s website at http://www.atxfriends.org/austin-city-council-candidate-questionnaire. (See the media release we issued at the time here.)

For a list of all the candidates on the ballot, as well as how to connect with them on social media and by email or phone, see our city council candidate contact sheet.

By now you should have received your secure ballot to vote in FAN’s 2022 city election preferences poll. It includes races for mayor, city council districts 1, 3, 5, 8, and 9, as well as a bond proposition.

Voting in our poll is taking place online and began today. Search your email inbox for the secure ballot from the address for Helios Voting Bot no-reply@heliosvoting.org.

The poll closes Tuesday, October 18th at 6 pm central time.
