I’ve been digging through Austin’s public development and permit data and thought it would be useful if homeowners could see what’s actually changing around their property without having to search through city databases.
So I built DevelopmentWatch. You enter an Austin address and it pulls recent development activity within 2 miles, surfaces the projects that appear most significant, and gives you a quick explanation of why each might be worth watching.
It’s live here:

Austin is the first city I’m trying this with. I’d be interested to hear from people who actually follow neighborhood development: is this useful, and what information would you want to see that’s currently missing?
