Active Living Austin Study

Howdy Friends of Austin Neighborhoods!

We want to introduce ourselves to you and your community. We are researchers at Texas A&M University, working on an exciting study funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It is called Active Living Austin, and studies how community environments relate to people’s health behaviors. You can learn more about us at www.activelivingaustin.org or through a short video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wen9VrWC87s&feature=youtu.be

We are currently recruiting study participants including (1) people who plan to move to the Mueller neighborhood in Austin, and also (2) people living in other Austin neighborhoods who will not move in the next 1.5 years. Participation involves completing surveys, and in some cases, wearing small activity meters for one week intervals. All participants receive gift cards (up to $240) as a token of our appreciation for their involvement in the process.

If you are interested in participating, please contact our Field Coordinator, Mr. Greg Griffin, at 512-407-1111; or reach out to us through Facebook and Twitter.

We are also offering $20 incentives for referring a future Mueller resident into our study!

We appreciate your consideration and support. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Active Living Austin Research Team at Texas A&M University
