FANs Invited to City Manager Advisory Search Task Force Meeting

The city is involving the public in the search for a new city manager. FAN received this invitation to participate. Note that all members of FAN are welcome to attend.

As you may know, the City of Austin is in the process of searching for a new City Manager. The City Manager is appointed by the Austin City Council and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the City. This is one of the most important decisions the Council will make so they have created the City Manager Search Advisory Task Force to develop recommendations on the selection criteria for the next City Manager.

The Task Force would like to extend an invitation to attend the next City Manager Advisory Search Task Force Meeting to provide public input to identify attributes our next City Manager should possess. That meeting will be Saturday, July 8 at 1 p.m. at Austin City Hall, 201 W. 2nd Street, in the City Council Chambers.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, we invite you and the members of your organization to participate in our on line survey or you may call 3-1-1 to contribute to the survey in any language. The last day to participate in the surveys is July 5, 2017.
